Chemence® is a B2B chemical company producing adhesives for various markets including medical, industrial, consumer electronics and more. Their website is mainly used for general information and a gateway to the company’s different devisions and sub-brands.
Problem: Chemence® website had too many pages with a maze-like navigation and repeated information. Although the website was visually nice, it gave users very little insight about the company’s offerings. My job was to redesign the site and fix all the issues.
Solution: In 2018, a new site with revised content, clean and easy navigation, UX focused, responsive (not just mobile friendly) and function-driven with improved SEO was launched.
Process: Chemence® has a unique target audience. Each devision has its own age group, market and interests. To make the new website to work for everyone as a whole I had to start with good research and brainstorming with company’s stakeholders. I created a clean and clear navigation based on marketing strategy and CEO’s future plans for each division. The site is custom build WordPress site, therefore the developer team needed all the PSD files for the site, details functionality of all CTAs and how each content and element should appear to keep visitors engaged. At the end, I did the functionality test on different platforms to ensure every aspect of the site works as it was planned.
My Role: Art direction, brand manager, UI/UX designer, project manager.
